The Partners of the Sickle Cell Consortium are excited to present the 10th Annual Sickle Cell Warriors Convention (also known as the Sickle Cell Disease Patient & Educational Symposium). First held in 2013, this Convention was designed as the 'family reunion" for sickle cell families. Now in our 10th year, the Convention has expanded to include a sickle cell Trait Track, a Men's Track, a Young Adult (age 16-22), and a Children's (age 6-15) Track. The Warriors Convention is the only national sickle cell convention designed, created, and hosted entirely by the sickle cell patient and family community.
WE ARE BACK IN PERSON! The theme of the 10th Annual Warrior's Convention is Sickle Cell Excellence: Breaking Barriers. This theme emphasizes the importance of striving for excellence in all aspects of life, despite the challenges posed by sickle cell disease. The convention aims to bring together warriors, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to share knowledge, experiences, and strategies for managing sickle cell disease and achieving excellence in life. Participants can attend workshops, hear from experts, and connect with others in the sickle cell community.
The theme also sheds light on the importance of breaking barriers to ensure that individuals with sickle cell disease receive the best possible care and support. Overall, the convention seeks to inspire and empower individuals and organizations to continue striving for excellence in the fight against sickle cell disease.
